A room full of genius! It’s

A room full of genius! It’s pretty likely that not everyone knows what the Salvoy Conferences are so, to save you some time, here’s a little explanation. These conferences are held in Belgium and address problems in Chemistry and Physics. Still held today, this picture represents the attendees at the infamous fifth conference, held in 1927. Attendees included Albert Einstein, Neils Bohr, and Marie Curie. 17 of the 22 scientists who attended that fifth conference won Nobel prizes! 17 of the 22! Now that’s an amazing percentage!

It was also the site of the famous Bohr-Einstein exchange in which Einstein stated that, “God does not play dice." Bohr responded to this with, "Einstein, stop telling God what to do." Probably one of my favorite moments in science!
