Sir Thomas was beheaded by Henry VIII, that crazy who was crazy for having heads chopped off of the people who dared to disagree with him. Sir Thomas was not forgotten after his death, though. He was canonized by the pope and became St. Thomas More some 400 years after his death. I'm sure there are bloggers out there who post about the saints, and this image is for them. The texture of Sir Thomas' garments shows well, even at screen resolution. I wonder what it is that he is holding in his hand?
