I love this image. Orangutan's are such incredible animals. Definitely one of my favorites. It's just amazing how similar they are to people. This image in particular captures what I mean. Throughout the animal kingdom, Mamas take care of their young, but when you see a image like this of a baby orangutan being held in the same fashion that a human baby would be held and cradled it's hard not to make the connection.
The use of black and white was a very good choice for this photo. While the content of it is sufficient enough to provoke thought and emotion, the simple touch of using black and white adds depth to this picture and it beings to speak volumes more.
It's so sweet and tender, like we're peeking in on a moment between a mother and her child.
